Free Brush Lettering Practice Sheet

Here’s another free brush lettering practice sheet for you courtesy of Olivia from Random Olive. I received a set of Tombow brush pens a little early for Christmas this year so I used those to letter this quote over and over in different brilliant colors. (P.S. Those pens are awesome!)

About the quote . . .  I thought “Collect Moments, Not Things” was a good one for us as we approach the holiday season, but it’s also perfect for every day of the year. I don’t know about you, but the things I treasure the most are not the piles of things I have lying around my house.

Granted, I’ll admit to being particularly attached to two small books that I’ve been writing and sketching in for the past five years. One is a gratitude book and the other is a small blank book a friend made for me that I’ve filled with sketches of our family’s adventures together. (i.e. happy journaling!)

Those books are technically things, but they represent hundreds of moments in my life over the past several years.

One of the things I love about brush lettering a quote like this is how it slowly but surely sinks into your heart as you carefully make the letters. Moments, not things . . . moments, not things.

Here’s the brush lettering practice sheet that Olivia has offered to our community. (Thank you so much, Olivia!)

I hope as we end this year, we will all become collectors of the precious things in life. I hope we’ll take the time to stop and notice. To think and reflect. And to enjoy the beauty around us each day.

Have a lovely {and creative} day, friends!
